The second weekend in August is the “Weekend of Grace,” sponsored by the Grace for 2 Brothers Suicide Prevention through Awareness and Education organization.
The Weekend of Grace has ended for 2017. In 2018, the dates will be Saturday, August 11 for the Memorial Golf Tournament, held at the Airport Golf Club, and Sunday, August 12, 2018 for the Walk of Grace.
The Walk will be held at the Lions Park Amphitheatre. Registration begins at 10:00 am, the walk starts at 11:30 am. According to their website, the Walk of Grace includes a remembrance ceremony and both individual and team walkers are encouraged to make a memory sign which will be placed around Sloan’s Lake by the LCCC Women’s Soccer Club.
BJ Ayers, who lost two sons to suicide, founded Grace for Two Brothers in 2010 as a means to assist in “Suicide Prevention through Awareness and Education.”
Grace for 2 Brothers is a local Cheyenne 501 (c) (3) organization that provides services to Cheyenne and throughout Wyoming.

The Weekend of Grace is a fundraiser that has seen a steady increase in participation since its founding. 2,000 people took part in the Walk of Grace on August 13, 2017.
