Cody Commotion – Cody Stampede

Another successful Stampede came and went through Cody this week (June 30 – July 4, 2018, a tradition since 1919. Extravaganza craft fairs, parades, and rodeos drew people from near and far to take part in the festivities. Due to being sold out I wasn’t able to make it to one of the rodeos. That alone show illustrates how much people enjoy the western ways of life around here. The next best things were the craft fair and parade.

The craft fair was full of handmade goods, food vendors, and various groups expanding their public outreach. Also was the Yellowstone Burners Bus. A collaborative art project that will transform a school bus into an art car fit for the Burning Man festival (to see more about them visit http://www.yellowstoneburners.org/projects.html)

This years parade had 115 entries of old cars, marching bands, wagons, local organizations, community members and so much more!
