Just as you enter Wyoming from Colorado on I-25 N there are two fireworks stores on Exit 2 (Terry Ranch Road)- a Phantom Fireworks and a Black Cat. If you take Exit 7 from I-25 N to the various truck stop/gas stations (Love, Sinclair, etc.) and fast food restaurants – Subway, Wendys, McDonalds, Arbys, and a Dennys, not to mention a Quality Inn, and take College east toward Greeley Highway, there are two fireworks stores on the right hand side of the road.
And at the corner of College and Greeley Highway, there is a fireworks store. (Used to be two, but a Black Cat closed in 2016, the site was bulldozed and there is now a Maverik gas station there.)
Yesterday, Sunday, I stopped in at the Phantom Fireworks on the little connector road when you get off I-25 and head toward Terry Ranch Road – their official address is 239 I25 Service Rd.
The store manager Petra Goldberg, shared much information with me, including why firework stores in Cheyenne – and presumably everywhere – are open year round.
It’s because fireworks are used for more than just 4th of July and New Years Day.

Ms. Goldberg was extremely informative – she also told me that the current Phantom store here off of I-25 will soon be replaced by a brand-new, purpose built store that will be practically adjacent to it.
So if you like fireworks, the Phamton Fireworks on I-25 is the place to come – though as mentioned in my first paragraph, there are plenty of fireworks stores throughout the city.
