Gillette, WY: Sculptures in Historic Downtown

Gillette, Wyoming, a city of some 30,000 people, is located about a 4 hour drive north of Cheyene, on I-25 and WY-59N.

There is much to see and do in this city, which was founded in 1891 as a railroad town and which has doubled in size during the 2000s, thanks to the energy boom in the surrounding area.

Beginning in 2004, historic downtown Gillette was beautified with the addition of a sculpture on every street corner.  As you walk around enjoying the sculptures, you’ll walk past bookstores, restaurants, icecream stores and toy stores.

Sculptures in historic downtown Gillette are one of the highlights of any visit.
